When the holiday season rolls around, you better believe that even nutrition experts are excited for sweet treats and indulgent bites! We know that one day (or a few) won’t make or break your overall health and that a healthful eating pattern is more about consistently taking in adequate energy and nutrients from a variety of foods in the long term. As dietitians we also don’t prescribe to or advocate for “cheat days”, as they are often an indication that your diet isn’t flexible enough on a more daily basis.
