Julie Stefanski wins PAND Keystone Award

Congratulations to Julie Stefanski MEd, RDN, CSSD, LDN, CDE, FAND who was named a winner of the Keystone Award from the Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The Keystone Award recognizes Pennsylvania registered dietitians who have demonstrated outstanding professional standards through their leadership, willingness to serve, and efforts to advance the aims of the PA Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.

Julie is a Content Writer of Food, Nutrition & Dietetics for Nutrition Dimension, a Relias company where she develops evidenced based continuing education courses for healthcare professionals. Her overall career goal is to have all the letters of the alphabet listed behind her name.  Julie has a master’s degree in adult education with a focus on distance education from Penn State.  She is a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, has been a Certified Diabetes Educator since 2003 and achieved the designation as a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics. Julie served as a PR/Social Media Chair for PAND for 7 years and remains a volunteer for the PAND social media accounts. She also serves as one of our blog coordinators for PAND after co-creating the EatrightPA blogging program in 2017.  Julie was selected as a national media spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics in 2018 and provides accurate information to the media on such topics as ketogenic diet therapies, gastrointestinal disorders and pediatric nutrition.  She was an adjunct instructor in the Stabler Department of Nursing at York College of Pennsylvania for thirteen years. She is a published author including the chapter Infant, Child, and Adolescent Nutrition in the textbook Nutrition and Diet Therapy for Nurses.  

Stefanski accepted the award at the Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics annual meeting held on March 29, 2019 in Cranberry Township, PA. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals.
